A Large hand painted 19 th Century Imari charger with vignettes of people, copious hand painted decorations and flowers grace this Japanese charger, hand painted with gilt decoration, colors of red and blue. Size; 16 inches round.
This piece has a very old crack that is hardly visible to the eye when viewing from the front. Size; 2 inches. The crack is more visible from the back and is 2 1/2 inches in length. This piece has a very sound “ring” to the porcelain when tapped.
